Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh/Malerkotla, March 6 -
Before coming to power, our party had made
some promises with the people of Punjab, and all those promises are being fulfilled. Now, the Punjab government has taken a pledge to make the state drug-free. If any individual have fallen prey to drugs for any reason will be treated and made a part of the healthy society. These views were expressed by Punjab's cabinet minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, while addressing the media after a meeting with officials at the Deputy Commissioner's office at Malerkotla.
He said that the campaign launched by the Punjab government to make the state drug-free will play a decisive role, and every section of society must cooperate to eradicate drugs. He said that private de-addiction centers will also be held accountable, and their administrators will have to report how many drug addicts have been treated.
